Quick solution when max-width isn't filling the element in Firefox.
A recent update on firefox change the way it handled max-width in css and meant that in some case the image no longer fills the element in which it resides (in my case a Joomla module).
Now I’m not an expert in CSS (far from it) but I wanted to share my simple solution for fixing max-width when used inline in html:
Yep, he finally did it. My son drop his mother's iPad 2. The screen didn't break but it did start displaying a crazy random pixel noise with mostly creen pixels splattered accross the iPad screen. Here's how I fixed it:
How to change from slide to slide or item to item automatically using Yootheme Widget kit on your Joomla website.
I got a bit stuck using Yootheme widget kit for a slideshow. I couldn't find how change from slide to slide (item to item) automatically. I couldn’t see it in the widget kit component at first, so I thought I might have to specify it as a shortcode. Nope wrong again. It turns out it was much easier than that.
I thought I just posted about mind blowing tech of the day and then these 3D ants showed up. I laughed, I cried, I peed my pants. These little blighters have great potential but also hint at the dark side of robotics, imagine a pletora of bionic ants like these in the wrong hands... sounds not too far of the robots out of Hero 6.
Don't be fooled though, I'm impressed. The software for creating robot ants that can work together and also take care of themesleves autonomously is pretty cool.
Check it out and decide for yourself: Creepy or Cool?
Mind blowing 3D tech of the day goes to: Carbon 3D Continuous Liquid Interface Production technology (CLIP).
If you are involved in manufaturing this video might just blow your mind. I had never heard of Carobn 3D until I came accross a press realease today about thier new 3D printing technique which grows the 3D objects in a pool of resin reminiscent of how the T1000 grew back up out of droplets int the movie Terminator 2.
The Continuous Liquid Interface Production technology (CLIP) uses light and oxygen to “continuously grow objects from a pool of resin instead of printing them layer-by-layer.”
Well,... take a look for yourself. Keep in mind this is 7 times normal speed, but it still does not fail to impress:
What is the fastest free #Joomla template (2015)?
I wanted to know which would be the fastest free joomla template. I know that Joomla is a great way for people to get into web development for free (kudos Joomla opens source devs!) and for many people that’s important. When I started with Joomla I couldn’t afford anything.
I love tech, but I'm happy to move forward. I especially enjoyed the death of the floppy disk drive whos size and speed were never good enough, not to mention the anyoing noise it made.
When I say annoying, that was until I heared a bunch of floppy disks drives (and a few Hard drives) playing a Nirvana cover.
Yep. Here's "Smells like Teen Spirit" performed by 'the floppies':
Apple is the first company to make $10,000+ dollar version of its smart watch (that I know of) called the Apple Watch "edition". This has generated quite a buzz in the media and also with the apple haters jumping into full swing with memes like “a $10,000 watch? Apple just went full retard, never go full retard.”.
Now, I not big on opinionated posts (my blog is more to help others find solutions to tech problems)… but I have an opinion on this that people don’t seam to be talking about: Apple is making a $10,000 smart watch because they seam to be the only ones smart enough to know; they HAVE TO.
Part of my job is making coffee friendly memes for fun to post on social media. We strive to entertain and as a marketer I always recommend that providing the best possible quality and service is the best marketing you can do, so I like to create things which might brighten someones day or that people find amusing. Recently I saw a photo of an older guy drinking coffee and was inspired to create this:

It's quite obviously a Photoshop with Albert Einstiens eyes, forehead and hair superimposed. Of course E=MC2 refers to Einsteins theory of relativity.
